Jim St. John set three world records on his way to scoring a home town victory in the $40,000 Western Open at San Jose.
The little veteran stepped off a 241-207 triumph over Bobby Knipple of Long Beach, Calif., in the final match to wrap up the $5,000 first place check.
St. John's world marks included 40-game actual pinfall of 9294 pinfall and bonus 9944 and high 16-game semifinals set of 3992. Ev Collins and bon Johnson fired 300 games.
