Foremsky Leads Lefty Assault
It was "Lefthanders' Week" in Las Vegas and the head man at the end of festivities was Skee Foremsky.
Foremsky defeated Dave Davis, 211-204, in the championship match to cash the $7,500 first place check in the $40,000 tourney. Harry Smith was the only righthander in the four-man televised finals and he finished third ahead of Don Glover.
Foremsky led the 40-game qualifier and was seeded into the title game. Davis was the total pin king in the first three television games. For this he earned a crack at Foremsky. But the El Paso, Tex., kid wasn't to be denied his first major championship.
