G-Man Nabs Third PBA Crown

The G-Man, Billy Golembiewski, was pinned to the wall by a "Fix" but shot his way out to capture the $5,000 first prize in the Hialeah-Miami Open.

After losing his opening game in the finals to Dan Fix, "G" knocked down Dick Weber and Tommy Tuttle to collect the big pay check. In the title tiff, Golembiewski erased Tuttle, 228-212.

It was Billy's third PBA crown. He won the Charlotte, N.C. tourney in 1963 and the Columbus, Ohio, Open in 1964.
