Weber Adds 13th At Dallas

Dapper Dick Weber of St. Louis made it a baker's dozen in Professional Bowlers Association tournament titles when he captured the $21,500 Dallas Home Furniture Open.

Weber's 13th title was an easy one as he won 13 of his 16 matches in the finals to record a 174-pin edge over runnerup Johnny Meyer of Houston. Weber's final count for the 40-game grind was 9550.

Detroit's Tom Harnisch led the 24-game qualifier with 5369 pins but faded to seventh when he split his 16 games in the finals, winning eight and losing eight.

The $3,000 first place check gave Weber earnings of $15,825 for the year and moved him into eighth place on the money list. Allen continued to lead with $26,698.
