Schenkel has been at the mike at pro bowling telecasts since the Pro Bowlers Tour first hit the air in 1962 and long has been recognized as one of the most competent and versatile sportscasters. Schenkel's respect and influence, not only with the viewing public, but also with commercial sponsors and the network, contributed importantly to the success and longevity of Pro Bowlers Tour.
