Bohn, a smooth-stroking lefthander, joined the PBA in 1984 and has been a full-time player on the PBA Tour since 1985. He recorded his first win in 1987 and garnered at least $100,000 in earnings in 10 consecutive seasons from 1992-2001-02. His career earnings of more than $2.7 million rank him fourth all-time. Bohn had a career year in 1999, as he became one of 14 professionals at the time to garner five titles in a single season. He led the Tour with a personal best $247,000 in earnings on his way to his first PBA Player of the Year award. Also won the Player of the Year award in 2002, when he also won five titles. He pulled off a successful "three-peat" in the Japan Cup and remains the only player to not only successfully defend his title, but to win it four times. Bohn owns 35 career Tour titles including two majors (2001 Masters and 2012 World Championship). A fierce competitor on the lanes and a gentleman off, Bohn has been recognized by his peers four times as the recipient of the Steve Nagy Sportsmanship Award (1990, 1993).
